Terms & Conditions

• The duration of your stay is as stated on your booking. Lengthening your stay is possible if the house is not re-let (just telephone and ask). Additional nights are charged a pro-rata amount of the normal weekly rate!
• The number of people is as stated on your booking. We don’t object to extra people as long as it is within the capabilities of the house sleeping arrangements. Please inform us of any changes to the amount of people staying before you arrive.
• Arrival time is 1pm and leaving time is 10:30am unless prior arrangement has been made.
• $100 deposit is required on booking. The balance is due on arrival. Cash or cheques only please. If you prefer you can pre-pay before you arrive via our bank account, just phone/email for our details.
• In the event of late cancellation the deposit will not be refundable unless the property is re-let. A cancellation fee of $50 will be deducted from the deposit
• The telephone is provided for local calls only. Please only use the phone for STD calls in an emergency. STD calls are charged at $3.00 each.
• All linen and towels are provided.
• Any damages or loss to the contents will be charged.
• Domestic pets are not allowed.
• No cleaning fee is charged. We ask you to leave the premise as you would expect to find them. (Except the beds & linen—which you can leave as is for us to re-make & wash.)
• Please take care of the septic system and don’t put anything down sinks or toilets that can cause blockage or kill the bacteria that make it work. This includes tissues—please always use toilet paper—in reasonable amounts. Your stay will be spoiled if the septic becomes damaged.
• The water is a rainwater tank system—beautiful soft water. Used sensibly there is always sufficient. Please—don’t leave taps to run inside or out. Always use water as if there were a drought.
• Soft water uses less soap—reduce soap powder, washing up liquid etc
• Please put the garbage/recycling bin out for collection at the roadside on a Monday night for Tuesday morning collection.
• We want you to enjoy your stay. Don’t hesitate to call us.
• If you have any suggestions or comments about ‘Ellerslie Retreat’ we would be happy to receive them.
• The property has stock on it, please leave the gates as is. We also have 3 dams, so be careful when in paddocks.
