• Ellerslie Retreat is ideal for a relaxing family getaway or a quiet weekend escape. Situated just 20 minutes south of Forster and only 90 minutes North of Newcastle.
• Ellerslie was built in 1913 as a family home, which quickly became the first guest house for people all over NSW, and afterwards became the local post office and telephone exchange for the area, where the youngest daughter Elsie carried on this business. The property has been in the family ever since.
• It is a 4 bedroom self contained house, that sleeps up to 10 people and is being lovingly restored since 1995.
• Ellerslie is positioned on 30 acres of land at the edge of Wallis Lake.
• Ellerslie Retreat is fully Self Contained. Linen, blankets and towels are provided.
• The bedrooms consist of - BED 1 - Queen Bed. BED 2 - Queen Bed. BED 3 - Double Bed + single bed. BED 4 - single bed + bunks. A Cot is available.
• Facilities include - a tile fire for those cool winter nights. A fully self contained kitchen including a microwave, oven, 2 fridges, cutlery, crockery, pans etc. BBQ outside. 2 bathrooms, 3 toilets. Screened outdoor eating area/verandah. Laundry facilities.
• Ellerslie is on tank water & pump out septic system.
• A chook pen, vegetable garden provides fresh eggs and vegetables daily.
• 10 minute drive away you’ll find Sandbar Golf course, Blueys beach, Pacific Palms Recreation Club & Palms shops.
• Forster is only 25 minutes away & you’ll find plenty to do & see there. Stockland Shopping Centre, Dolphin & Lake cruises, Boat Hire and Fishing charter trips. Ten—Pin Bowling, Ton-O-Fun & The Big Buzz Fun Parks are great fun for all ages.
• Ellerslie is right on the lakes edge. There is grazing cattle over the property and 3 dams that attract native ducks and birds. The property provides a great walk and if you go on to the top hill you can see the township of Forster—Tuncurry.
